TERMS OF USE
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the "trie9" platform (the “Platform” or “Service”), which is provided by Redress Space Ltd, a England and Wales company with its principal place of business at "Parker Russell, Level 30, The Leadenhall Building, 122 Leadenhall Street, City of London, London EC3V 4AB, United Kingdom" (“Redress,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By clicking “Accept and Continue” (or a similar button) or by otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms—including the Privacy Policy referenced below. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You represent that you are (a) at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and (b) legally able to bind yourself or, if signing for a business, that entity, to these Terms.
2. Platform Description
2.1 What the Platform Does
The Platform is a cloud-hosted analytics suite for Generative-Engine Optimisation (GEO). Core features include:
- Capturing and archiving AI-generated answers to user-defined prompts and keywords (“SERP/SGE Snapshots”).
- Ranking analysis, share-of-voice metrics, competitive benchmarking, and change-detection dashboards.
- Optional LLM-powered insights (sentiment, entity extraction, topic clustering).
- APIs and export tools for integration with BI or marketing workflows.
- Infrastructure for automated content generation to improve ranking and visibility, leveraging compliant AI models and best practices.
2.2 Cloud Environment & Providers
Redress Space hosts the Service on reputable cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and may leverage third-party large-language-model APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) for summarisation or enrichment.
- Data Handling. Your inputs (prompts, crawl configs, uploaded reference docs) and resulting outputs are processed solely to provide the Service. Our vendors do not use your data to train their general models.
- Retention. Snapshots and logs are stored for the duration of your subscription (or shorter if you delete them), unless a longer period is required by law or security audit.
- Security. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest; internal access is governed by least-privilege principles.
2.3 Reference-Graph & Model Routing
The Platform maintains an aggregated, cross-customer “Reference-Graph” of entities, links, and ranking positions. Redress Space may use de-identified telemetry from all customers to refine this graph and improve relevance algorithms.
The Service dynamically routes prompts to compliant LLMs (open-source or commercial) to balance cost, latency, and accuracy, unless you lock a specific provider in the settings.
3. User Accounts and Access
You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and for all activity under your account. Use strong passwords and notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. Redress Space may impose eligibility or geographic restrictions and may suspend accounts for security or AUP violations.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Upload or generate unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited content.
- Use outputs to spam, phish, or spread misinformation.
- Crawl or scrape websites in violation of their robots.txt or terms.
- Probe, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service or integrated AI models.
- Share a single subscription among multiple legal entities or attempt to circumvent usage caps.
- Build or market a competing GEO product using the Platform.
Excessive or abnormal usage that threatens Service stability may result in throttling or suspension after reasonable notice.
5. Ownership and Intellectual Property
- Your Inputs & Outputs. You retain ownership of content you supply and the GEO analytics outputs generated for your account. Subject to law and third-party terms, Redress Space assigns to you any IP it holds in those outputs.
- Licence to Redress Space. You grant us and our subprocessors a worldwide, royalty-free licence to process your inputs/outputs to operate, secure, and improve the Service (including to build the de-identified Reference-Graph).
- Platform IP. All software, designs, and documentation remain the property of Redress Space or its licensors. You receive a revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Platform solely as permitted in these Terms.
- Feedback. Suggestions you provide may be used by Redress Space without restriction or compensation.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Redress Space disclaims all express or implied warranties— including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
GEO metrics are inherently volatile; algorithm changes by search engines or LLM providers may materially affect your rankings. Validate critical decisions with independent sources.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redress Space and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Cap on Direct Damages: Our aggregate liability will not exceed US $100 or the fees you paid during the six months preceding the claim—whichever is greater.
8. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless Redress Space and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any third-party claim arising out of (a) your misuse of the Service, (b) content you supply, or (c) your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
9. Termination
- By You. Cancel anytime through the billing portal or by emailing [[email protected]].
- By Us. We may suspend or terminate access for AUP violations, non-payment, or security concerns.
Sections that by nature survive—ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law, etc.—remain in effect after termination.
10. Paid Subscriptions
10.1 Plan, Fees, and Auto-Renewal
Starting a subscription plan (each, a “Plan”) authorises Redress Space to charge the stated fee at the beginning of every billing cycle (monthly or annual, as selected) until you cancel. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes.
10.2 Upgrades, Downgrades, and Proration
- Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge.
- Downgrades take effect at the next renewal; no refund for the current cycle.
10.3 Fair-Use Policy
Plans include generous query and snapshot allowances for normal business use. If usage materially exceeds that of similarly-situated customers and impacts Service performance, we may throttle access or require an upgrade after 5 business days’ notice.
10.4 Failed Payments
If a payment is declined, you must provide a valid method within 7 days. We may suspend access until payment clears and you are liable for any charge-back or collection costs.
10.5 Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation stops future charges but does not trigger refunds for fees already paid, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Your Plan remains active until the end of the current cycle.
10.6 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice. New prices apply on the first renewal after the notice period. If you disagree, cancel before that renewal; continued use constitutes acceptance.
10.7 EU/UK Statutory Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day statutory “cool-off” period to cancel your initial subscription without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you first purchase a Plan.
To exercise this right, email [[email protected]] before the period ends. We will refund all payments received from you for the Plan using the same payment method, within 14 days of receiving your notice.
By starting to use the paid features during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that you will lose the right to withdraw once the Service has been fully performed and agree that we may deduct a pro-rata amount for the period of use prior to cancellation.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the England and Wales, UK, excluding conflict-of-law principles.
You and Redress Space consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in England and Wales.
Injunctive Relief. Breach of §§4 or 5 may cause irreparable harm; Redress Space may seek injunctive relief in any competent court, in addition to other remedies.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced via the Platform or email. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree, you must stop using the Service.
